The Navarra asparagus is a gastronomic luxury, revealing both elegance and exquisite flavours on the palate. These asparagus are completely white, with a smooth texture and a slightly sharp taste, representing the concept of fine gourmet items, which will appeal even to the most discerning palates.
Available in whole and in bud spears, serve them with a slice of shaved Spanish Jamon Iberico Ham and they will be the perfect starters for an intimate party.
They can also be tossed into salads, pasta or simply eaten on its own with just a squeeze of lemon juice and a drizzle of good extra virgin olive oil. Pairs really well with the more mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc and dry Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley. And if you must, a dry Riesling from Germany will work too.
Hercules Amalia and Jose Salcedo, Navarrico's founding fathers, personally worked on the fields and canned the products of their labour from the farms of San Adrián in Spain.
Since the early days (1950s), the company's philosophy has been to transform the fresh produce from their farmland into exquisite consumer products with the least possible intervention, respecting the rhythms of nature, and the adopting the best systems to preserve the highest quality possible.
Today, the new generation of El Navarrico preserves the same traditional way of handling and treating the products that combine the original enterprising spirit of their ancestors and a great wealth of agricultural knowledge. They call themselves “craftsmen of the farm”.
El Navarrico strives to maintain the highest quality for each and every one of the products made for an unforgettable culinary experience.
Mood Indigo Organics is a Singapore-based purveyor of organic, natural and fine foods and wines. Founded in 2007, we take pleasure in seeking and selecting quality products from small artisan producers.
Our products – whether they were sought, recommended or discovered — reflect our passion for taste and terroir. We source organic or natural delicacies that are by and large produced by small, family-run artisans who prize quality over quantity. We make an effort to visit our producers to taste and learn about their products and to gain an insight into their methods of production.×
